Miscellaneous photographs from Uganda, Northern Nigeria, the Caribbean and Mauritius 1899-1930s, 1899 - 1939

Scope and Contents

A collection of loose prints of various sizes (mainly snapshots) by various photographers. The prints are largely uncaptioned and are mainly duplicates of prints in the other parts of the collection. The prints have been grouped chronologically thus: Uganda (1-47), Northern Nigeria (49-68), Caribbean (69-88), Mauritius (89-111), miscellaneous (112-117). The collection also includes 10 original negatives which are listed with the prefix 'Y3011G/ON'. Two geographical anomalies have crept into the catalogue (4 and 48).
