Copies of semi-official letters from Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong and Shanghai, to Jardine Matheson, Swatow, with a few enclosed letters:
1. Nos 73-255, 257-285 and 287-399 from W.J. Keswick, D.F. Landale, D.L. Newbigging, J.J. Paterson and A.B. Stewart, Hong Kong, to G.H. Bowker, W.B. Cornaby, M.J. Henderson, W.H. Tindal King, E.L. McDougall and H.H. Tod, Swatow, 5 June 1929-12 November 1941. A pencil note records that nos 256 and 286 are missing.
2. Nos 1-9 and one unnumbered letter from B.D.F. Beith, W.J. Keswick and F.A. Pollock, Shanghai, to G.H. Bowker, M.J. Henderson, W.H. Tindal King, E.L. McDougall and H.H. Tod, Swatow, 21 December 1934-30 July 1941.
The letters from Shanghai are filed in chronological order among the letters from Hong Kong. The file also includes a few extracts from semi-official correspondence between Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, and Jardine Matheson, Swatow, 23 February-25 April 1929.
