Scope and Contents

Letters of indemnity from shareholders, with statutory declarations, for the loss of debenture stock certificates of the following companies, represented by Matheson & Co. Ltd: Mountain Copper Co. Ltd (mainly), Cachar & Dooars Tea Co., Chambers Wharf & Cold Stores, Ch. Goldrei, Foucard & Son Ltd and Indo-China Steam Navigation Co. Ltd. There are also some original covering letters from shareholders to Matheson & Co. Ltd as Secretaries of the Mountain Copper Co. Ltd and the share certificate of H.H. Robson, Mary Green and J.W. Sylvester for £120 of stock in the Mountain Copper Co. Ltd, 6 January 1949.

The label on the original ring-binder for the documents read 'All Companies' and 'Letters of Indemnity and Statutory Declaration. regarding lost Debenture Stock Certificates. 1st March, 1947'.
