Palace of Justice, Pretoria, 1900 - 1910
Scope and Contents
205 x 152 mm. Showing the Palace of Justice buildings which stand on the northern side of Church Square opposite the Raadsaal. A three storeyed building with two central towers linked by a dome, it was constructed shortly before the South African War and was first put to use as a hospital for British troops after the occupation of Pretoria in June 1900. To the left of the Palace of Justice, partially obscured by the fountainin the centre of the square, is the Post Office.
