House of Parliament, Pretoria, 1900 - 1910
Scope and Contents
206 x 153 mm. Showing the State Buildings or Raadsaal on the southern side of Church Square. The building, a three-storey construction with a central tower on top of which is a statue, occupies the site of the small thatched building which served as the seat of government when the administration moved from Potchefstroom to Pretoria in 1860. After Union n 1910, it became the seat of the Transvaal Provincial Council.
