Scope and Contents Sent from Ipswich, to Edward in Germany.Thanking Edward for a letter and telling him that ‘By the Sea’ was in that day’s Illustrated London News and though they didn’t send proofs it reads well and there don’t seem to be mistakes.Also telling Edward that there was a letter for him from Miss Barry and 2 manuscript parcels (which could wait until he returned from Hildesheim); his hotel (in Hildesheim) sounded like good value and he should look out for any old German prints in shops...
