Lady Sylvia Gwendoline Eva Carew (1913-1991) was the daughter of Ian Maitland, 15th Earl of Lauderdale, and his wife Ethel Mary, the daughter of James Jardine Bell-Irving of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd. Her husband was William Francis Conolly-Carew, 6th Baron Carew.
