Biography
Christopher Thompson Tod joined Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd in 1909 and was employed in the Shipping Department at Hankow, Hong Kong, Kobe, Shanghai and Swatow. He was appointed the head of the Shipping Office at Shanghai during the 1930s. He worked for Matheson & Co. Ltd during the Second World War, and retired in 1946. He was the brother of Henry Hector Tod, who also worked for the company.
