Ernest C. Atkinson Papers, 1906 - 1954
A collection of papers concerning horology and clockmaking. It includes correspondence between Ernest C. Atkinson and a range of people connected with horology and timekeeping, including Humphry Smith and other members of the RGO’s Time Department. The collection also includes pamphlets, leaflets, papers and booklets, brochures for watch sales, admiralty notices to mariners re time signals, sets of notes, graphs and calculations, and a small number of photographs of clock parts.

Presentation pack containing four stamps of John Harrison’s Marine Timekeeper No.4 (24p, 28p, 33p and 39p) and a Harrison information sheet.
Also, first day cover with printed images of Harrison and a ship at sea; the four 'Marine Timekeepers’ stamps are affixed and postmarked by the British Philatelic Bureau, Edinburgh.
Nathy O'Hora Papers, 1913 - 1927, bulk: 1946 - 2014
The Nathy O'Hora papers include the research, publications, and presentations of himself, others, and the RGO. This research notably includes eclipses, a topic to which O'Hora devoted considerable time after retiring. The collection also includes papers and correspondence relating to the Time Department where he worked, his notebooks on various scientific theories and practices, ledgers that he used to record weather data, newspaper clippings, and photographs.
