201 x 147 mm. A view looking across Grand Harbour showing the landing stages and fortifications at the southern end of Valletta. With steam and sailing ships in the harbour. The twin towers of St. John's Co-Cathedral can be seen on the skyline at the right of the print. This print is also captioned, on the reverse and in a different hand, 'Valletta from Fort St Angelo'.

146 x 103 mm. A view looking seawards on the western side of Fort St. Elmo, along the French Curtain towards St. Geroge's Bastion. The smoke from cannon fire can be seen above the fort as well as two spouts of water where shells have landed in the sea.

A collection of albumen prints which include views of the Middle East, Malta and Gibraltar by Robertson, Beato and others. The majority are of European works of arts and townscapes (many of the latter unidentified). There are also scenes at Woolwich. Plates 68-80 are uncaptioned and consist of miscellaneous engravings of weaponry, armour and archaeological sites.

300 x 240 mm. The Isoletto, or Bishop's Island, in Marsamxett Harbour, was fortified by the Knights of St John in the 1720s and 1730s, and was named after the Grand Master who paid for its construction and future maintenance.

The collection, though small, is interesting as no other papers appear to have been left by Hore-Belisha. It comprises letters, diaries, some photographs and documents (mainly copies) covering most of Hore-Belisha's career but concentrating on his most important position as War Minister from 1937-1939 and particularly the events surrounding his dismissal by Neville Chamberlain.
