Scope and Contents From the Sub-Fonds: Slides numbered from 1-65 by John Ewart Marnham (numbers 14, 42 and 43 are missing). There are also 5 slides of Tobago and one of Jamaica not numbered by him, but clearly identifiable by the processing number and probably omitted on account of inferior quality or repetitive subject. They are inserted at appropriate points. Eleven slides (numbers 23-28), 29-31, 33-35) are in Kodak Readymount frames without processing numbers and since several show John Ewart Marnham and Susan Marnham it is...

Scope and Contents From the File: Contains slides of St Lucia. The majority are of views of scenery, many from the sea or from the air (two sequences in February 1971 and September 1972). There is not much relating to Marnham's work, though his official house in Castries is shown in February 1971. Among events which are shown are: a youth rally at Vieux Fort on 1 May 1971 and 11 scenes at the Castries Carnival of 1972. Slides have been renumbered but arrangement in the file remains as per the original typescript...

The Bell Jetty, 1912-07

Scope and Contents 129 x 79 mm. A view looking along the jetty at Roseau which is decorated with flags in honour of Bell's visit to Dominica in July 1912. At the end of the jetty stands an arch with messages of welcome from the Dominica Guardian, the Voice of Dominica and the people of Dominica: 'Lovely weather and everything propitious for the reception which the good folk gave me. The Administrator, Mr. Young, and good old Porter came off to the ship and we all went ashore together. The harbour was full...
