'The Buttress' on Mount Aux Sources, 1910 - 1911
82 x 140 mm (loosely mounted on foolscap paper with notes beneath the photograph). A view looking towards the Buttress, all but the summit of which is concealed by mist. Mount Aux Sources lies in the Drakensberg Mountains near the Transvaal-Basutoland border and was, until 1951, thought to be the highest peak in South Africa.

University of Basutoland, Bechuanaland and Swaziland [now the University of Lesotho], 1963 - 1964
156 x 108 mm. Showing the buildings of the three-nation university at Roma. Originally the Pins XII Catholic University College, the non-denominational university came into existence on January 1 1964. With the change of name of two of the participating states, it later became the University of Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland (U.B.L.S.). The Roma Campus was nationalized in October 1975 and thenceforward became the National University of Lesotho.
