Album of mostly 80 x 54 mm prints. There is a brief list describing items 1-98, which document the trip from Southampton to South Africa, travel in South Africa, and the visit to Southern Rhodesia. Many photos do not appear in the exact numerical order given in the listing. The rest of the images are uncaptioned, but their general locations have been identified by reference to the diary RCMS 353/1.
Photograph of Cape Town Cathedral, 1976
A photograph of a watercolour depicting a Roman Catholic cathedral in Cape Town. The size of the copy, 14" x 9¾", is identical to the original painting, which was presented to the Society by Miss M. Pigot Moodie in 1939, and sold through C.J. Sawyer in December 1975. Pencilled at the bottom of the picture is 'Roman Catholic Cathedral' and 'Bowler 1888'. Frank R. Bradlow, a writer on Bowler, considered the painting to be an authentic Bowler, and that the date was a later addition.

80 mm across. Copy A: decorative border around vignette is printed in blue with a mauve tinge; the leaf decoration within it, at corners, is printed in red. Copy B: the colours are reversed, and whilst the red appears the same shade, the blue is less mauve.
