The Post Office, with its reinforced concrete dome of over 220 feet and colonnaded facade in the composite order, was designed by Waiter B. Granville, Architect to the Government of India. The foundation was laid in 1864 and the building opened to the public (although not entirely completed) in 1868. It stands on part of the site of Old Fort William. See also...
