Photographic panoramas of Hong Kong, Canton, and Macau

Scope and Contents This collection comprises an album containing 187 photographs and a further 25 loose prints. Its creator is unknown, but he is likely to have been a British soldier, probably of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Norfolk Regiment, identified by the uniforms and insignia of the colour party which appears in Y302M/188. He may have been a member of the battalion’s drum corps and band, since there are several images of its members. Those photographs which are dated cover the period 1927 to 1935. ...
