These records relate to various associations formed in Australia, India, Ceylon and South Africa by residents of Malaya displaced by the war. They provided information and assistance to evacuees, civilian internees, and prisoners of war.

This and Y3022N/42 were presumably taken during the Miranzi Campaign of 1891 when British forces under the command of Sir William Lockhart attempted to open up and stabilise the Miranzi Valley by building three fortified posts on the Samana Ridge. This collection was compiled from three files on Commonwealth Conferences, other than meetings of heads of governments: Colonial Conferences: General; Commonwealth Conferences: General; Commonwealth Conferences: Trade, Financial, Economic. There are 90 photographs, but owing to some changes in the collection, the numbering is somewhat erratic: Nos. 35-38 and 40-42 do not exist, and there are additional photographs at 56 A-B and 62 A-E.
Miscellaneous correspondence, 1823 - 1828
Much of the correspondence relates to an article printed in the 'Penang Gazette' on 17 April 1827, written by Captain Lake, Inspector-General of Plans at Penang, criticising the treaty the that Burney had recently negotiated with Siam [Thailand]. Several of the letters were written by William Cox, the editor of the paper. Burney's complaints to the Government of India were upheld.
