The India Committee was set up in April 1930 under the chairmanship of Sir John Kerr to consider the report of Sir John Simon's Commission on Indian government reform. Its archives include minutes of meetings, draft reports and correspondence. The committee’s 'Report to the Council of the Society on the Probable Working of the Simon Commission's Proposals' was presented in Oct. 1930.
