India, personal photographs, 1930 - 1940
Scope and Contents
Black-and-white photographs of buildings, locations and the native population. The majority of the photographs are labelled, but most are undated. They include some taken in Ceylon, Egypt and Morocco. The locations featured include Agra, Chandpur, Delhi, Fatehpur Sikri, Ismailia, Jaipur, Lucknow, Madras and Tangier. The nature of the photographs would suggest that they were taken for personal interest rather than in connection with Pringle's work. There is a short descriptive note at the end.
