This photograph may have been taken by Lyn Acutt. These are all married women, and they twist their short curly hair into strands of wool and cotton mixed with fat and dark red ochre, the whole being fixed firmly. These styles last about seven years! One woman has a small dancing shield. They are obviously preparing for a dance or feast'. The photographer is unknown.
