The album begins with a typescript description of a visit by H.E. and Anne Hebbert to the Jebel Marra in Sudan, 31 May - 2 July 1942, followed by photographs from the trip. There is also a further typescript page inserted between photographs 37 and 38, entitled "The crater of Jebel Marra'. The second part of the album comprises photographs of a trip to the Nuba Mountains, 1943. The photographs are of native people and scenery.

Measuring 220 x 285 mm, this album contains postcards, some of which are coloured. The majority portray Algiers (including 12 of the museum), Algerian people, Biskra, and the ruins of Timgad, Constantine, Tunis and Carthage.
