A series of photographs showing Queen Elizabeth's visit to Bermuda in November 1953. The crowded programme of this visit, which began at 10 am on 24 November and ended at 6 am the following morning, is fully described and illustrated in a special issue of The Bermudian (January 1954). This is the main source of the identification of the photographs, which were not previously captioned. Unless otherwise stated, they are 255 x 200 mm prints.

The caption on the reverse of the print reads: 'The arrival: The royal couple alight from British Overseas Airways 'Canopus' and are greeted by his Excellency the Governor, Lieutenant General Sir Alexander Hood. At left are Lady Hood, Miss Rosemary Hood, and Wing-Commander John Fountain; at right, Wing-Commander E. M. Ware'. The print is also annotated on the reverse with the reference 'ER-1'.
Note: the last name in this caption has been scored out, it is unclear by whom.
