Scope and Contents

110 x 85 mm. Group showing the Governor in full-dress uniform with naval officers and others, identified by the Naval Historical Branch, Ministry of Defence, through the good offices of Mr William Stravely, as the visit of the Commander in Chief, America and West Indies, Vice-Admiral Sir John F. Stevens, KBE CB, in February 1955. The group shows Commander (S) A. J. Petrie-Hay, Admiral's Secretary; Commodore D. H. Connell-Fuller, Commanding Officer of 'Superb', the flagship; the Governor; Lt. B. Shattock; Vice-Admiral Stevens; Governor's ADC (?); Mr C. Campbell, Colonial Secretary. On the reverse of the print, there are two captions, one written in blue and the other black ink. The former reads: 'Another spare (?) for the Other (?) child', and the latter: 'Post (?) Jan 1957 - KCMG in uniform'.
