Menorah Fund, British gift to Israel: Correspondence regarding WSC subscribing to the fund to gift a large Menorah to the Israel Knesset (Parliament), 22 Feb-6 Mar 1956
Correspondents are Anthony Montague Browne [Private Secretary to WSC], WSC, and members of the Menorah Fund Committee (Secretary Gilbert McAllister, Chairman Clement Davies, Walter Elliot and W Glenvil Hall).
The Menorah was sculpted by Benno Elkan and was on display at the Tate gallery before being presented to the Israel Knesset on 16 Apr 1956 (Israel's Independence Day).
