The archives comprise a wide range of operational records, covering the management and development of premises and grounds, garden planting, gardening advice within and without the University, visitors and Friends, accounts, bequests (including that by Reginald Cory) and staff, as well as papers concerning interaction with the Botany School and botanical research in general.

Audus: Leslie John Audus collection

Scope and Contents

A collection of 58 botanical studies of grasses made in 1941 while Audus was stationed in Malaya and Singapore serving with the RAF. The collection also includes printed copies of Audus's own summary documents relating to his time in captivity as a prisoner of war from 1942 to 1945 and his production of yeast in the camps to provide vitamin B1 which was deficient in their diet.
