Typescript drafts of chapters from 'A son of the Canadian Church' covering Westgate's time in German East Africa, 1902, 1908, 1909, 1910, 1911, 1909-1912 and 1913-1914 (3 sets). There are manuscript annotations and a few pages of notes.
Band of the 2nd Nigerian Regiment

Bendigo gold production
154 x 170 mm. Mounted photograph. Shows cubes of various sizes representing the relative outputs of different mines. The fronts of the cubes have printed on them information about size, dividends and value. A printed caption stuck beneath the photograph states: 'The above 27 companies represent a paid-up capital of £437,631. Value for gold produced, £6,132,544. Dividends paid, £3,131,355. Approximate value of the 27 mines and machinery, £2,000,000.
Bieneman collection
An album of 73 photographs, mostly three to a page, measuring 145 x 88 mm. save for numbers 16-21, 31, 34-42 and 58-66, which measure 88 x 145 mm. Subjects are, for the most part, indigenous people and their animals. An obituary from The Times, included with the album, contains a tribute to Bieneman's work from a former pupil, Aliyu Makaman Bida.

Bob Le Sueur in East and Southern Africa

The volume covers the journey out (pp. 1-3), Kenya (4-65), Tanzania (65-85), Malawi (65-98), Zimbabwe (99-113), Namibia (113-125), South Africa (126-152, 157-172 and 174-184), Lesotho (152-157), Swaziland (172-174) and the journey home (184-188).
Bombay photographs
Sepia prints on mounts. Their appearance suggests that cardboard frames, originally stuck down surrounding the photograph, have been crudely removed. The prints are interesting reflections of British social life and were the property of the grandfather of Mrs. M. Heuston (no further identification or information given).
