Barbados and North-West Frontier Province
Scope and Contents
Three albums. Two of Barbados (dated 1918 and 1923) each containing photographs of both official and informal occasions as well as family members, and one smaller assorted album of thirty-six photographs including some of the North West Frontier Province (undated). All were collated by and belonged to H.E. Sir Charles O'Brien, KVCO, former Governor of the Seychelles and Barbados. Approximately two-thirds of the photographs relate to O'Brien's life as Governor. The majority are captioned in his hand. Three images in the 1923 album have the photographers stamp on their face: 'Perce Tappin, Art Photographer.'

Charles Richard Mackey O'Brien was Governor of the Seychelles 1912-1918 and Governor of Barbados 1918-1923.
