Biographical / Historical
The report is said to be 'compiled and written by L.M. Bridges, District Officer, Bamenda, Kumbo, Banso, 22.1.34' (p. 148). There is no L.M. Bridges in the Nigeria Staff lists, but there is a W.M. Bridges. In M. and V. Delancey, 'A bibliography of Cameroon' (1975), p. 77, there is an entry for W.M. Bridges, 'Assessment/Reassessment report on the Banso District, Bameda Division, Cameroons Province', 1935. Although no bibliographical details are given, this is probably the same report.
