Newscuttings on Africa and South East Asia
The principal part of the collection is a set of thirteen scrapbooks of newscuttings relating to East Africa, particularly Kenya and Tanganyika. The rest of the collection consists of a volume of cuttings relating to post-war trading opportunities in Nigeria and three scrapbooks concerning rubber and mining in South East Asia.

Comprises material relating to the Ugandan Civil Service in the colonial period and in the years immediately prior to independence from Britain in 1962 including reports, official publications, news cuttings, and photographs. There are also photographs, ephemera and organisational notes from the royal tours directed by Peter Allen, and some examples of Joan Cundall Allen's original artwork.

Robert Maddocks Collection
Maddocks has written many articles on postal history, the majority reflecting his primary interest in the history of the Cameroons, particularly during the colonial period. He is the author of a monograph examining postal arrangements during the conquest of German Kamerun by the British and French during the First World War. His works also cover Nigeria, West Africa, Gambia, Zambia, German East and South West Africa, Togo, Ascension, St. Helena, Papua New Guinea, Jamaica and Barbados.
