Scope and Contents

Correspondence of D.G.M. Bernard (Trustee of the D.F. Landale Marriage Trust), Matheson & Co. Ltd, London, regarding the Marriage Trust of D.F. Landale. The correspondents include the three other Trustees (the Alliance Assurance Co. Ltd, London, Bertram Francis George Currie, Hampshire, and Ronald Mackintosh Robertson, London) and other correspondents, including D.F. Landale, Dalswinton, Hong Kong and Shanghai; the Trustee Department, A.J. & A. Graham, Glasgow; and Vickers, Da Costa & Co., London. There are also related letters and papers, including some correspondence of Miss N.M. MacNeill, D.G.M. Bernard's Private Secretary, and lists of securities of the Landale Marriage Trust. The original ring-binder was damaged and has not been retained, apart from the front cover and the label. Pasted inside the front cover is a list of securities held by the Alliance Assurance Co. Ltd with regard to the D.F. Landale Marriage Settlement and a list of the names and addresses of Landale's Trustees. The file label reads 'D. F. Landale - Marriage Settlement'.
