Arrangement
The compiler of the files appears to have confused James Jardine Bell-Irving with his nephew Major John Bell-Irving and created a composite series of material regarding both. This confusion is reflected in the labelling of the files and the occasional references to Major John Bell-Irving as J.J. Bell-Irving in the correspondence.
