Scope and Contents

A box containing four sub-files, which hold photographic material connected to the Roger Law/Spitting Image Productions Limited book, A Nasty Piece of Work: The Art and Graft of Spitting Image, which was published in November 1992. The following are present:

1. A bundle of four black and white photographs from the 1960s: a photo of Roger Law, Peter Fluck, Deirdre Amsden and others by the Scarborough shore, 1960; a group photo of the aforementioned with Paul Hogarth and others at a garden party, 1965; Blair Stapp's portrait photograph of the Black Panther Party's founder, Huey Newton, c 1967; and a group photo of David King, Michael Rand, David Sylvester and George Perry, all staff at The Sunday Times Magazine, at one end of a snooker table, 1968.

2. A bundle of photographs and 35mm slides containing images used in a section of the book that illustrates the making of a Queen Elizabeth II puppet; images taken by Andy Lee (SI/540).

3. A bundle of sleeves holding 35mm transparencies and slides, which feature images relating to the production of Spitting Image puppets.

4. A screen print from a scene of Spitting Image, featuring British Prime Minister John Major and his wife, Norma, eating dinner.
