Some officers, non-commissioned officers and men of the Swaziland Police, 1910 - 1911
Scope and Contents
139 x 89 mm. A formal group portrait showing officers and men of the Swaziland Police, the Africans standing at the back, the Europeans seated and standing in front. None of the figures is identified, but the officer seated in the centre of the front row is presumably Charles Hugh Gibson DSO, who, after service in the BSA Co Police, the Natal Civil Service and the Matabele Rebellion of 1896 was District Commissioner SAC Swaziland 1902-1907 and Assistant Commissioner in charge of Police 1907-1923.
