Town, 1963
Scope and Contents
A file containing two issues of the British men's magazine, Town, along with tearsheets from other issues; all of which feature illustrations by Roger Law. The following items are present:
1. May 1963 (Vol. 4, No. 5) - pages 52-55 feature woodcut prints, which accompany the short story, Dream of a Strange Land, by Graham Greene (RL/Pre-/1063).
2. Tearsheets and accompanying photocopy from the June 1963 (Vol. 4, No. 6) issue, containing woodcut prints that illustrate the article, What Are the English for?, written by David Pryce-Jones (RL/Pre-/1083).
3. November 1963 (Vol. 4, No. 12) - page 76 features a coloured woodcut print, which accompanies the article, Mortimer, Griffin, Shalinsky, and How They Settled the Jewish Question, written by Mordecai Richler (RL/Pre-/1075).
4. A tearsheet and accompanying photocopy from an unidentified issue, containing pages 45-46, which feature pencil drawings that illustrate the article, Lies Lies Lies, written by James Cameron (RL/Pre-/1073).
5. A tearsheet from an unidentified issue, containing pages 84-85, which feature an ink drawing portrait of Bernard Levin that accompanies an article written by Levin (RL/Pre-/1082).
