Scope and Contents

A file containing two issues of the American men's magazine, Esquire, along with tearsheets from two other issues; all of which contain illustrations by Roger Law. The following items are present:

1. Tearsheets of pages 99-102 from the January 1969 issue, which contain a plasticine model illustration, accompanying the article, Computers on the Brain, by Martin Mayer.

2. Two tearsheets of pages 111-112 from the April 1969 issue, which contain a model illustration that accompanies the article, Birth Without People (RL/Pre-/713).

3. Issue for September 1972 - page 118 contains a photograph of a plasticine model illustration of the art dealer, Reese Palley, as a bird, which accompanies an article by Jerry Bowles, titled, If Cartier, Tiffany, Porthault, Harry Winston, Bonwit Teller, Charles Jourdan and Bergdorf Goodman Can't Make the Rich Happy, Who Can? (RL/Pre-699).

4. Issue for August 1975 - pages 74-75 contain a photograph of a plasticine model illustration, which is comprised of four figures: the King of Saudi Arabia, Yassar Arafat of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the Shah of Iran, and President Anwar Sadat of Egypt; this illustration accompanies the article, How to Make Nice with the Arabs, by Glenn O'Brien (RL/Pre-/1052).
