Restrictions on access are imposed on certain categories of sensitive record: financial, governmental and personal, by order of the originating body or under data protection legislation. Biographical / Historical

The society was, at one time, known as the Cambridge University Junior Theological Society and was considered secondary to the University of Cambridge Theological Society. It took its better known name from Fenton John Anthony Hort (1828-92), the biblical scholar and theologian. Initially membership was by invitation only to encourage members of the society to become better acquainted with one another and to ensure a reliable size of audience for its guest speaker programme.
