Copies of works by Jeremiah Horrocks and other treatises, 601 folios (foliated continuously). Most of the original material dates from the mid-17th century to February 1706, including much from circa 1673-1677. There are also transcriptions made in 1923. The writing is in the hands of Horrocks and others.

The notebooks include some entries relating to the administration of the Grosseteste Press and Grosseteste Review, and in several places in the collection there are evidences of Riley's creative and business relationship with Tim Longville.
