This series can be divided into approximately two halves: the first consisting of Angelica Garnett's correspondence with her husband, David, and a few items to other family and friends; the second of correspondence to Vanessa Bell, Angelica's mother, many documents being from members of the Bloomsbury set. Angelica Garnett's correspondence with her husband can be found in the sub-series catalogued as AG/1/31. Most, but not all, other envelopes contain correspondence with Vanessa Bell.

Garnett: The Papers of Angelica Garnett (nee Bell)
This small collection comprises both correspondence donated by Angelica Garnett and selected papers. The most substantial part of the collection is the correspondence, comprising several letters exchanged with Angelica's mother, Vanessa Bell, as well as the correspondence between Angelica Garnett and her husband David. The selected papers consist of a few items, primarily memoirs, by Angelica Garnett and members of her family circle.
