Dora Carrington's photograph albums, 1922 - 1930
Scope and Contents
These albums contain snapshots, professional studio portraits and picture postcards. The subjects include holiday scenes, views of Tidmarsh Mill House and Ham Spray House, friends sharing picnics outdoors, pets and animals.
Many individuals have been identified from Frances Partridge's indexes FCP/7/1/1 and 7/1/2. In some cases, she lists several names corresponding with one album page number so there may be occasional mis-identification of individuals. Any additional information or corrections of errors will be most gratefully received by the Archivist.
The photographs range in size from 4cm x 6cm to 12cm x 16cm.
Some photographs were removed from the albums before their transfer to King's College. They are indexed in FCP/7/1 and 2, and the relevant pages often slow clear signs that they were torn out.
