These drawings all feature artefacts excavated in the nineteenth century by Schliemann and Stamatakis at Mycenae and registered as groups under single registration numbers at the National Archaeological Museum, Athens.

AJBW's annotations include a number in blue pencil within a blue circle, tomb number and an - excavation? - number in brackets, a photographic slide reference number prefeced with the letter 'C.' and various other numbers with a now unidentifiable purpose.

AJBW annotations on the verso with a description of the subject and a Figure letter for publication - either created for the unpublished 'Helladika' or another as yet unidentified published tome. AJBW also added the museum number for objects in the collection of the National Archaeological Museum of Athens. Often the scale is noted too.

The postcard shows the ascent of the Prophet Muhammad to Heaven, from a Persian MS. It is from the British Museum.
