Biography
Christopher Hodgson joined Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd in 1911, aged 19. He was employed in the Shipping Department at Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tientsin, and also had two spells as the No. 2 at Swatow. He resigned from the firm in 1927.

Copies of semi-official and property correspondence of the offices of Jardine, Matheson & Co. in the Upper Yangtsze Ports (Changsha, Chengtu, Chungking, Hankow and Ichang) and Lower Yangtsze Ports (Chinkiang, Kiukiang, Nanking and Wuhu), including correspondence with Jardine Matheson, Shanghai.
