Biography

Robert Clive Sutton was born in Sydney, Australia. He joined Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd in 1973, and was employed at Hong Kong and Singapore before becoming President and Chief Executive Officer of Theo. H. Davies & Co. Ltd at Honolulu in 1976. He was appointed the head of Jardine Matheson (North America) Inc. in 1982, and of Jardine Matheson Australia Ltd in 1984. He was a Director of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd, 1979-1984, and Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd, 1984-1987.
