Scope and Contents Five typescript pages of notes on Foochow comprised of two memoranda on Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd's presence in the city - 'Jardines ... Foochow, in the olden days' and 'The "Princely Hong"'; a memorandum on 'Foochow Teas', with an accompanying list of teas handled at Foochow in 1910; and 'Memoirs' of life in the city. There is also a covering letter from W.J. Keswick, London, to B.D.F. Beith, London, 5 October 1949, who describes the author of the documents as 'F.P.' (probably F.P....

Copies of semi-official letters from Jardine, Matheson & Co. (Taiwan) Ltd, Taipei, to Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong and Shanghai, with enclosed letters and papers. Some letters are from Taihoku, the prefecture that included Taipei. The correspondents are B.D.F. Beith, B.E. Bolton, R.E. Coxon, C. Griffin, C.S. Hayley, M.J. Henderson, J.H. Keswick, W.J. Keswick, F.P. Lachlan, H. Lachlan, D.F. Landale, J.J. Paterson and A.B. Stafford.
