Notes on Foochow, 1949
Scope and Contents
Five typescript pages of notes on Foochow comprised of two memoranda on Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd's presence in the city - 'Jardines ... Foochow, in the olden days' and 'The "Princely Hong"'; a memorandum on 'Foochow Teas', with an accompanying list of teas handled at Foochow in 1910; and 'Memoirs' of life in the city. There is also a covering letter from W.J. Keswick, London, to B.D.F. Beith, London, 5 October 1949, who describes the author of the documents as 'F.P.' (probably F.P. Lachlan).
