A file containing material relating to the publication, Spitting Images. The following are present: a paperback copy of the British version of the book, published by Century Hutchinson Limited; a cover proof for the British version; a paperback copy of the American version of the book, published by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich; and contracts for Ben Elton and Heathcote Williams, as additional writers for the publication.

A large promotional poster for the publication, Spitting Images (SI/198). The poster features a photographic image of a Margaret Thatcher puppet illustration, which depicts her as smoking; image taken by John Lawrence Jones. This illustration also features on the cover of the British version of the publication, and in the interior of the American version.

Scope and Contents Material relating to the publication, Spitting Images, created by Spitting Image Productions Limited, which was produced in two versions: one for the British market and the other for the American market. Both versions contain photographic images of puppet illustrations, featuring well known celebrities and politicians from both sides of the North Atlantic Ocean.
