He sends 4b in the knowledge that Caldwell had purchased the portrait of the wife of the Hon. Frederick Keppel at the sale of the effects of the late Provost of King's, Richard Okes, d. 1888.

The property had passed from Archbishop Parker to his son John and thence to Sir George Paul; Josias Horne and his wife Frances and John Parker's son Matthew also acquiring parts of the property. The college sues Sir George for £60 arrears in payment of the annuity. Sir George countersues.
Letter to Sir Edwyn Clement Hoskyns concerning the old glass in the chapel,, 1931-10-09
The writer confirms the opinion of A. Oswald (see next). He considers that the glass dates from the very early 16th century, or earlier, and is undoubtedly Flemish. He supposes that it was acquired by Wilkins specifically for the chapel and disposed of other pieces in private houses, e.g. Lensfield House, and King's College Memorial Chapel.

He recalls reading that the windows were obtained from Mr Hampp, a Dutch merchant, at Norwich (where Wilkins' father lived). See Bury, p. 14, and Chapter Book 6, p. 10.
