A view looking up the steep boulder strewn hillside towards the thatched huts of the village of the Karanga chief Mugabe which stands on the summit. An unidentified pioneer stands in the foreground. Photograph taken between August 13th – 19th.
Circular building, Zimbabye [sic], 1890
A panoramic view of the walls of the circular ruins with a breech in the centre and thick vegetation growing within the enclosed area. Ellerton Fry and a few companions visited and photographed the Zimbabwe ruins at some period between August 13-19 while the column was resting at Fort Victoria after the trek through the veld.
