Frome's original sketches of Kingston, Ontario, Canada, numbers 187, 189-91 and 196 were sold to the Agnes Etherington Art Centre, Queen’s University, in 1975. Photographs of these sketches are stored at RCMS 40/3/15-19. Glass plates which had been made from several of Frome’s drawings of the Rideau Canal (missing when the collection arrived in Cambridge) have been reproduced on Cambridge Digital Library as Y3062T.

An album of small photographs, mostly stuck in but with 22 loose. There are rather sketchy captions.
1-278 and 283 are of Egypt and the Sudan including the Sennar (Makwar) Dam and the Kor Arbaat project, 279 of Venice and 280-282 of Germany.

Engravings and sketches, 1827 - 1860
This box contains several drawings of Canada and Mauritius by Frome which formed part of his missing sketchbooks, and engravings by other artists acquired by him. It also includes photographic reproductions of Frome’s five sketches of Kingston, Ontario, which were sold to the Agnes Etherington Art Centre of Queen’s University, Kingston in 1975. These were originally numbers 186, 189-91 and 196 of Album 6 (now RCMS 40/1/6).

Heligoland and Scotland, 1858 - 1859
Frome created a series of sketchbooks of various formats during his travels. Numbers 1 (Canada) and 4-5 (Mauritius) were missing when the collection came to Cambridge. The RCS sold numbers 2-3 (Australia) to the Art Gallery of South Australia in 1970. Numbers 6-7 and 11 had never been presented to the society. The great majority of the contents of the seven sketchbooks listed below had been removed in London, leaving only a few rough pieces.
