A view looking down onto two rows of bell tents surrounded by a thorn zariba with scrubland and the Tuli River in the background. Of the 500 BSA Co. police, only 300 moved on to Tuli, the remainder, under the command of Sir John Willoughby, remaining at Macloutsie to cover the column’s rear. Twenty persons are showing in the photograph. The Royal Commission comprised Viscount Bledisloe (Chairman), Patrick Ashley Cooper, Ernest Evans, Thomas Fitzgerald, William Henry Mainwaring, and Ian Leslie Orr-Ewing, with George Frederick Seel as Secretary.

The wall consists of neatly dressed stone similar to that seen at Zimbabwe (see Y3052A/110) with two herring bone patterns running along the left hand section and above these two rows of decoratively spaced stones.
