156 x 205 mm. Showing two Africans beside a carcass in the flaying room at Lobatsi Abbatoir. The caption on the reverse reads 'This abattoir is of the U.K. Colonial Development Corporation's two major development schemes in the Protectorate - the other being an agricultural and ranching scheme in the Chobe Crown Lands'. A more lengthy caption summarises the physical and human geography of the Bechuanaland Protectorate.

A Colonial Development and Welfare Grant of £40,000 was made towards the establishment of the college'.
