Kingstown west, 1890 - 1900
235 x 191 mm. A sharply defined view from a hillside behind the town, looking along the bay and showing the town and harbour with steamers at anchor in the deeper water and smaller sailing boats closer inshore. At the far end of the bay the landing pier can be seen, with the police barracks partially obscured by other buildings.

La Soufrière in eruption, 1902-05
150 x 113 mm. A view looking down in to the smoking crater of La Soufrière, a volcano situated in the north-central area of St. Vincent. This photograph was presumably taken some time around May 1902 when the eruption of the volcano caused great devastation and loss of life.

160 x 107 mm. A view from the side of the iron girder bridge completed in 1903 and crossing the river near the village of Layou. The ironwork for the bridge had been imported as early as 1888 or 1889, but inadequate funds had prevented its erection.

A scrapbook album containing prints of various sizes by various photographers. The majority of the prints are captioned in Bell's hand. They relate to his period as Governor of the Leeward Islands, which ended in 1915; visits to England and South Africa; and, from plate 33 onwards, his Governorship of Mauritius, to which he was appointed in 1915.
